"Observation and Reflection from a Typhoon"

A powerful typhoon slammed the Chinese territory of Hong Kong on Tuesday, injuring dozens, disrupting communications and bringing business to a standstill in one of the world’s leading financial centers. Typhoon Vicente, lashed Hong Kong, packing winds in excess of 140 kilometers an hour, officials said. Authorities raised the typhoon warning to the most severe level of 10 for the first time since 1999.

On that day, I was too late to go home and it was already typhoon signal 8. I know it was dangerous but I need to go home take care of my little brother, he felt alone at home, so I must go home. I haven’t experienced this for 10 years. I could hardly walk, the wind kept pushing me, Typhoon Vicente was very terrible.

The rain make my body fully wet, I felt cold and wet. I hate this feeling. Although I hate this feeling, but my brother still at home, so I continued my way.

” Brother! Wait! I am coming home.” At that time, I just want my brother don’t be afraid.

At home, I saw my brother already slept. I hadn’t unhappy and angry when I came back home saw my brother slept good. Because I saw my cute brother slept sweet. ^.^

After few minutes, my mom was back. She and me were same, all clothes were totally wet. Haha~

After this incident (Typhoon Vicente), I found that I love my brother very much, more than I love my favorite star. He is the only one, none can replace. I love my family!

I will study hard, do not make the family down. Because I don’t want they are disappoint to me.

“Cooking, Food and Love”

  I love eating.

  Hong Kong is a famous shopping paradise, but I also think that it is a “Food Paradise”. Because I can try many dishes of food in Hong Kong, such as Chinese food, Thai food, Korean food, Japanese food, Indian food… My favourite dish is Korean food, especially “KIM CHI”, it is a appetizer and it is very delicious. If I have time, I would try to make “Kim Chi” myself.

  I would like to learn cooking because I like to taste various kinds of foods. But I don’t like taking time to buy ingredients or doing some sort of preparations. I'm rather impatient with that. That is to say, I'm interested purely in the cooking process.

  From time to time, I learn cooking from my mum and dad. They teach me all the things about cooking --- from cooking tips and knowledge to cooking techniques. And I also read some cookery books myself and try to follow them step by step. My mum and dad are both great at cooking!! Without doubt, all the foods they make are incredibly delicious.

Now I'm learning some recipes from books about how to cook something new --- strawberry cakes, mango puddings and more.   

They are really yummy too!! ^o^

My Learning Experience - Joy and Challenges

     I am very easy to be happy and no one can stop me to laugh. When I saw something is funny, I can laugh for whole day. Because I know happy not easy to have.

When I saw MS. English’s blog entry of two physically challenged students who have been trying hard to combat the learning difficulties. It makes me remember something.
I remember that at my little time a teacher told me that all people have a dream, including you. After she said that, i think a lot about "dream".Finally, i found my dream!!! I want to be a rich woman ~!! I also told my teacher and my mom, and my teacher also said, "Nothing is impossible if you try."
 Two years later, i graduated from my primary school. Before i left the school, my lovely teacher told me "You must catch your dream! Promise me don't give up. I look forward to your dream, smart girl."^.^ I was happy because my teacher expect me to be a useful woman. yoho~
  Once, about 2 months ago, our primary old student's association found a party for graduated student  in our primary school. On that day, i re-encountered my lovely teacher who told me to be a useful woman. I was suprised to re-meet her, because i thought she was not still teaching in the primary school. She said I had change a lot, such as my look, exactly i look thinner than before, she also said i look smarter and mature than bofore, not like a little girl anymore.
  We talked manythings in that day, just like two very relationship friends long time no see. She asked me did i change my dream, i said "NO!" I believe that everyone want to be a rich people, not except me and my teacher, but this dream is too hard to be come ture.
  By the time, she suddenly look serious and said,"Why you want to be a rich woman?That is because you don't want to be a poor and be a useless people. Do you know how can a poor to be a rich man? It is study! Only study can change our life, only study can make us more rich. I think you know what is your next step. Go and get it, don't waste you time, catch up baby. I am pound of you." After i listened, i was inspired.
  She make me want to study again. I did not have any unforgettable learning experience, because in my primary school life i can get a nice result without study and I hate study, so i had not do any preparation before i do any exam or dictation until i enrolled TC.
  I have to sit for HKDSE next March, it is not a good time to relax and enjoy yet. Starting from this moment, i will have a lot of learning experience. I hope it is not too late! :-)

“My First Encounter with African Culture - Music and Dance"

“When I was young, I’d listen to the radio, waiting for my favourite songs. When they played I'd sing along. It made me smile.” I just like the lyrics written, I always listen to the radio, I can listen a load of songs in the broadcasts. Listen to music can make me feel no pressure and comfort.

And I am sure that I was totally enjoyed in the African Drum Session in our school. I am happy and appreciate that I had a great chance to watch our principal’s and Mr. Wu’s dance, they dance great and I can feel their enthusiasm when I sit peripheral.

 

Indigenous African musical and dance expressions that are maintained by oral tradition and that are stylistically distinct from the music and dance of both the Arabic cultures of North Africa and the Western settler populations of southern Africa. African music and dance, therefore, are cultivated largely by societies in sub-Saharan Africa.

When I was in high school, I found that I liked Kpop. I like every Kpop songs and I have a favourite idol. They are ‘Super Junior’. Since I was little, I am not interested on idol or star until I saw Super Junior’s music video ‘Sorry Sorry’. I was completely fascinated of their dancing and their songs. ‘Super junior’ has led me to like the Korean stars and attend all about Korean stars things, such as Korean stars news, new albums, posters… ROFL:D

Kpop is one of the most popular in the world today, because it is about simple but strong human feelings and events-love, good times and bad times… It tells real-life stories and sounds in the way people really talk. As life becomes hard for us, it is good to hear about ordinary people. Because all kpop stars need to have a long and hard training session before they debut, and they choose a hard way because they want their fans can watch a perfect performances. I like their perseverance.

‘Super Junior’ being formed in 2005 by Lee Soo-Man as a producer in S.M Entertainment. This boy group is so unique because it consists of 13 members. Super Junior is now popular all over the world. They always called their fans with ‘ELF’ which means ‘Ever Lasting Friends’. As they have called their fans as a friend, so ELF have to be their friends forever and ever. I think I can do that! Absolutely yes!!

Motorway

Last Thursday , I watched a film with my lovely friends , Jenny , Pamela and Kimmy. This is an action adventure movie and I love it very much , because this movie is so excited and contains some handsome man. This good movie called “Motorway”.

    This movie has three main characters , Chan Cheung (Yue) , Lo Fung (Wong) and Jiang Xin (Guo Xiandong),. Chan Cheung belongs to the Hong Kong police’s “Invisible Squad”,  plainclothes unit that targets illegal activity on the highway and Lo Fung is his partner.

   Movie opening talks about Chan Cheung catches two speeding racers but, not heeding Lo’s advice , ends up letting one get away. Although Lo keeps covering for him , Cheung displays his competitive tendencies in two daredevil races that result in a stern reprimand from his captain. OMG!
